Company Description
Brookfield Infrastructure Partners LP is engaged in the business of ownership and operation of premier utilities, transport and energy, and timber assets in North and South America, Australasia, and Europe. Its utilities business comprised of regulated businesses, which earn a return on their asset base, as well as businesses with long-term contracts designed to generate a return on capital over the life of the contract. Its transport business comprised of open access systems that provide transportation for freight, bulk commodities and passengers, for which they are paid an access fee. The company's energy business comprised of systems that provide energy transportation, storage and distribution services. Its timber business consists of high-quality freehold timberlands located in the coastal region of British Columbia, Canada and the Pacific Northwest region of the U.S. The timberlands are predominantly comprised of premium Douglas-fir, hemlock and cedar species suitable for high-value structural and appearance applications in domestic and export markets. Brookfield Infrastructure Partners was founded in July 1905 and is headquartered in Hamilton, Bermuda.
