The company also owns Celadon Logistics Services, which provides freight brokerage services, less-than-truckload services, as well as supply chain management solutions, including warehousing and dedicated fleet services. It operates through two segments: Asset-Based and Asset-Light. The Asset-Based segment includes its asset-based dry van carrier and rail services, which provide truckload carrier services of general commodities to a similar class of customers. The Asset-Light segment consists of its warehousing, brokerage, and less-than-load operations. The company was founded by Stephen B. Russell in May 1985 and is headquartered in Indianapolis, IN.
