The company's Microwave Communications Systems segment provides microwave communications equipment, antenna systems, and associated equipment used in the transmission of video, audio, and telemetry data. Its microwave data-links are applied in unmanned aerial vehicles, law enforcement, security and surveillance, and electronic news gathering areas, as well as in live broadcast communications. This segment serves government agencies, law enforcement and public safety organizations, unmanned air vehicle program contractors, television broadcasters, entertainment companies, professional sports teams, and other commercial entities. Its Video Cameras segment offers video cameras and related products, specializing in IP video solutions for security, surveillance, and traffic monitoring applications; and products and accessories, such as cables, camera mounts, and data storage devices. This segment serves corporate end-users, state and federal government agencies, original equipment manufacturers, system integrators, and value-added resellers. Cohu, Inc. markets its products through direct sales force and independent sales representatives. The company was formerly known as Cohu Electronics, Inc. and changed its name to Cohu, Inc. in 1972. Cohu was founded in 1947 and is based in Poway, California.
