Citizens First Corp. operates as a holding company. The company, through its subsidiary, Citizens First Bank, Inc. provides various banking and financial services primarily to individual and corporate customers. It is engaged in the business of accepting demand, savings and time deposits insured by the FDIC and providing commercial, consumer and mortgage loans to the general public. The company offers a variety of loans including commercial and residential real estate mortgage loans, construction loans, commercial loans and consumer loans to individuals and small to mid-size businesses. It operates through the following segment: Commercial Loans, Commercial Real Estate and Residential Real Estate. The Commercial Loans segment consists of loans to depository institutions, loans to finance agricultural production and other non-real estate commercial and industrial loans. The Commercial Real Estate segment consists of loans for construction and land development, farmland, multi-family residential properties and other non-farm, non-residential real estate loans. The Residential Real Estate segment consists of first liens on residential family properties and junior liens on residential family properties, and Consumer including revolving and non-revolving consumer purpose loans. Citizens First was founded on December 24, 1975 and is headquartered in Bowling Green, KY.
