It provides engineering and manufacturing services primarily through its three business segments: Ducommun AeroStructures, Ducommun LaBarge Technologies and Ducommun Miltec. The Ducommun AeroStructures unit operates through company's subsidiary Ducommun AeroStructures, Inc. which is a manufacturing services company that supplies a wide range of composite and metal bond structures and assemblies, including aircraft wing spoilers, large fuselage skins, helicopter blades, flight control surfaces and engine components, to a global customer base. The Ducommun LaBarge Technologies segment operates through the company's subsidiary Ducommun Technologies, Inc. which develops, designs and manufactures illuminated switches, switch assemblies, keyboard panels, and edge lit panels, used in many military and commercial aircraft, helicopter, and space programs. The Ducommun Miltec segment operates through the company's Miltec subsidiary which provides missile and aerospace systems design, development, integration and testing. It was founded by Charles L. Ducommun in 1849 and is headquartered in Carson, CA.
