Dynex Capital, Inc. operates as a mortgage real estate investment trust. The company primarily invests in securitized residential and commercial mortgage loans and non agency mortgage backed securities. It also invests in commercial mortgage backed securities and non agency residential mortgage backed securities, as well as securitized residential and commercial mortgage loans. The company finances its investments through a combination of repurchase agreements, securitization financing and equity capital. Dynex Capital was founded on December 18, 1987 and is headquartered in Glen Allen, VA.
