The Generation segment is involved in electricity generation from thermal sources and renewable energies. The Network Infrastructure Austria operates regional electricity and gas networks, in addition to cable TV and telecommunications networks. The Energy Trade and Supply segment sources electricity, trades and sells electricity and natural gas to consumers, and wholesales markets. The Energy Supply South East Europe segment operates and sells electricity networks in Bulgaria and Macedonia. It is also involved in heat generation, heat sale, and the operation of natural gas networks in Croatia. The Environmental Services segment supplies drinking water, provides wastewater disposal and offers thermal waste inceneration services. The Strategic Investments and Other Business segment invests in strategic investment opportunities. The company was founded in 1922 and is headquartered in Maria Enzersdorf, Austria.
