Gyrodyne Co. of America, Inc. is a self-managed and self-administered real estate investment trust that, manages a diversified portfolio of real estate properties comprising office, industrial and service-oriented properties primarily in the New York. The company's primary business is the investment in and the acquisition, ownership and management of a geographically diverse portfolio of medical office and industrial properties and development of industrial and residential properties. It was founded by Peter James Papadakos in 1946 and is headquartered in St. James, NY.
