JBS SA is a holding company, which engages in the processing of animal protein. It operates through the following segments: Beef, Poultry, Pork, and Others. The Beef segment performs slaughter facility, cold storage and meat processing operations for the production of beef preservatives, fat, feed, and derivate products. The Poultry segment is represented by in natura products, refrigerated as a whole or in pieces. The Pork segment slaughters, processes and delivers in natura products. The Others segment consists of irrelevant activities. The company was founded by Jos� Batista Sobrinho in 1953 and is headquartered in S�o Paulo, Brazil.
