Vail Resorts, Inc. is a holding company that operates mountain resorts in the United States. The company operates through three business segments: Mountain, Lodging and Real Estate. The Mountain segment owns and operates the seven resorts of Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone mountain resorts in Colorado, and Heavenly Ski Resort and Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort in the Lake Tahoe area of California and Nevada. This segment includes lift ticket, ski & snowboard school, dining and retail & rental businesses. The Lodging segment owns and/or manages a portfolio of luxury hotels under the RockResorts brand, a number of hotels and condominiums located in proximity to its ski resorts, three destination resorts at Grand Teton National Park and several golf courses. The Real Estate segment holds, develops, buys and sells real estate in and around the company's resort communities. Vail Resorts was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Broomfield, CO.
