Materion Corp. produces engineered materials which are used in a variety of electrical, electronic, thermal and structural applications. The company operates in four business segments: Advanced Material Technologies, Performance Alloys, Beryllium and Composites and Technical Materials. The Advanced Material Technologies segment manufactures precious, non-precious and specialty metal products, including vapor deposition targets, frame lid assemblies, clad and precious metal preforms, high temperature braze materials, ultra-fine wire, advanced chemicals, optics, performance coatings and microelectronic packages. The Performance Alloys segment manufactures and sells three main product families: Strip products, Bulk products and Beryllium hydroxide. The Beryllium and Composites segment manufactures beryllium based metals and metal matrix composites in rod, sheet, foil and a variety of customized forms. The Technical Materials segment includes clad inlay and overlay metals, precious and base metal electroplated systems, electron beam welded systems, contour profiled systems and solder-coated metal systems. The company was founded in 1931 and is headquartered in Mayfield Heights, OH.
