It transports gas from the gas national transmission system. The U.S. Regulated segment owns and operates electricity distribution networks in upstate New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. The Other Activities segment includes, Grain LNG, BritNed, metering, UK property, Xoserve, U.S. non-regulated businesses and corporate activities. National Grid was founded on July 11, 2000 and is headquartered in London, the United Kingdom.
