Pitney Bowes, Inc. is a provider of mail processing equipment and integrated mail solutions. It offers software, hardware, and services for end-to-end mail stream solutions, which enables customers to optimize both physical and digital communications. The company operates two business groups: Small and Medium Business Solutions and Enterprise Business Solutions. The Small and Medium Business Solutions Group operates two segments: North America Mailing and International Mailing. The North America Mailing segment includes the U.S. and Canadian revenue and related expenses from the sale, rental and financing of mail finishing, mail creation, shipping equipment and software, supplies, support and other professional services, and payment solutions. The International Mailing segment includes the revenue and related expenses from the sale, rental and financing of its mail finishing, mail creation, shipping equipment and software; supplies; support and other professional services; and payment solutions outside North America. The Enterprise Business Solutions group operates through five segments: Production Mail, Software, Management Services, Mail Services and Marketing Services. The Production Mail segment includes the worldwide revenue and related expenses from the sale, support and other professional services of high-speed, production mail systems, sorting and production print equipment. The Software segment includes the worldwide revenue and related expenses from the sale and support services of non-equipment-based mailing, customer relationship and communication and location intelligence software. The Management Services segment includes worldwide revenue and related expenses from facilities management services; secure mail services; reprographic, document management services; and litigation support and eDiscovery services. The Mail Services segment includes the worldwide revenue and related expenses from presort mail services and cross-border mail services. The Marketing Services segment includes the revenue and related expenses from direct marketing services for targeted customers. The company offers services to the government, healthcare, education, legal and manufacturing industries. Pitney Bowes was founded by Arthur H. Pitney and Walter Bowes on April 23, 1920 and is located in Stamford, CT.
