The Kentucky Regulated segment primarily consists of LKE's, which owns and operates regulated electricity public utilities is engaged in the generation, transmission, distribution and sale of electricity and the distribution and sale of natural gas, representing primarily the activities of Louisville Gas and Electric and Kentucky utilities. The U.K. Regulated segment primarily consists of the regulated electric distribution operations in the United Kingdom. The Pennsylvania Regulated segment includes the regulated electric delivery operations of PPL Electric. The Supply segment primarily consists of the energy marketing and trading activities, as well as the competitive generation and development operations of PPL Energy Supply. PPL was founded in 1920 and is headquartered in Allentown, PA.
