Quality Distribution, Inc. operates a chemical bulk logistics network in North America. The company provides intermodal tank container and depot services through its wholly-owned subsidiaries Quality Carriers, Inc. and Boasso America Corp. It also provides logistics and transportation services to the unconventional oil and gas industry including crude oil, fresh water, and production fluids, through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, QC Energy Resources, Inc. and QC Environmental Services, Inc. The company operates its business through the following three segments: Chemical Logistics, Energy Logistics and Intermodal. The Chemical Logistics segment consists of the transportation of bulk chemicals primarily through its affiliates and company-operated terminals, and equipment rental income. The Energy Logistics segment consists primarily of the transportation of fresh water, disposal water, and crude oil for the unconventional oil and gas frac shale energy markets, primarily through company-operated terminals and affiliates. The Intermodal segment consists of Boasso's intermodal ISO tank container transportation and depot services business primarily supporting the international movement of bulk liquids. Quality Distribution was founded in 1994 and is headquartered in Tampa, FL.
