The Commercial and Private Banking segment covers the Commercial Banking, Private Banking, and RBS International Commercial Banking sub-segments, primarily involved in serving retail, commercial, corporate, and financial institution customers. The NatWest Markets serves UK and Western European corporate customers and global financial institutions, supported by trading and distribution platforms in the UK, US, and Singapore. The Capital Resolution segment involves the execution of the sale or wind down of most of the global footprint, and trade finance and management outside the UK and Ireland. The Williams & Glyn segment pertains to the business formerly intended to be divested as a separate legal entity and comprises the RBS England and Wales branch-based business, as well as small and medium enterprises and corporate activities across the UK. The Central Items & Other segment consists of corporate functions. The company was founded on March 25, 1968 and is headquartered in Edinburgh, the United Kingdom.
