Scio Diamond Technology Corp. is a development stage diamond technology company. It employs a patent-protected chemical vapor deposition process to produce single-crystal diamonds in a controlled laboratory setting which are called as lab-grown diamonds. The company intends to offer diamonds in limited quantities in applications such as diamond gemstone jewelry, power switches, processors, optoelectronics, geosciences, water purification and medical sciences. Scio Diamond Technology was founded on September 17, 2009 and is headquartered in Greenville, SC.
