Company Description

Spectra Energy Partners LP owns and operates fee-based natural gas pipeline and storage businesses. The company through its subsidiaries and equity affiliates, is engaged in the transportation and gathering of natural gas through interstate pipeline systems. It transports, gathers and stores natural gas for a broad mix of customers, including local gas distribution companies, municipal utilities, interstate and intrastate pipelines, direct industrial users, electric power generators, marketers and producers, and exploration and production companies. The company operates through two segments: U.S. Transmission and Liquids. The U.S. Transmission segment primarily provides transmission, storage, and gathering of natural gas for customers in various regions of the northeastern and southeastern United States. The segment provides natural gas storage services through Saltville Gas Storage Co. LLC (Saltville), Market Hub, Steckman Ridge, Bobcat and Texas Eastern's facilities. It provides gathering services through Ozark Gas Gathering LLC. The Liquids segment provides transportation and storage of crude oil and transportation of NGLs for customers in central and southern United States and Canada. Spectra Energy Partners was founded on March 19, 2007 and is headquartered in Houston, TX.
