Senior Housing Properties Trust is a real estate investment trust. The company operates through the following segments: Short and Long Term Residential Care Communities and MOBs. Short and Long Term Residential Care Communities segment includes leased and managed independent living communities, assisted living communities, skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation hospitals. The MOBs segment includes properties leased to medical providers, medical related businesses, clinics and biotech laboratory tenants. Senior Housing Properties Trust was founded on December 16, 1998 and is headquartered in Newton, MA.
