It provides a combination of market-specific solutions and other solutions to address the changing business landscape in healthcare, commercial, and industrial markets. The company operates through four business segments: Healthcare, Financial Services, Commercial Markets, and Industrial. The Healthcare segment serves the needs of the healthcare market, which is comprised of acute care providers which include primarily hospitals and integrated delivery networks defined as groups of healthcare providers; long-term care providers that include organizations which provide senior living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and dementia care services; ambulatory care providers include other organizations providing healthcare such as physicians and outpatient surgery centers; payors and managed care organizations that provide some portion of payment for healthcare services such as Anthem, Medicare, and HMO's - sometimes referred to as the insurance sector; and facilitators of ancillary services include providers of ancillary healthcare services that are prescribed by providers or other non-clinical services that directly interact with patients such as laboratories and clinical staffing. The Financial Services segment serves the needs of the financial services market, which consists primarily of retail banks, insurance carriers, credit agencies, security dealers, insurance agents or brokers, and holding companies. The Commercial Markets segment serves business-to-business or commercial market, which primarily includes retailers, business service providers, wholesalers, transportation services, technology and communication providers, non-industrial manufacturers, and government. The Industrial segment provides printed production parts, specialized print, and in-mold labels to the industrial manufacturing markets. The Standard Register was founded by John Q. Sherman and William C. Sherman in 1912 and is headquartered in Dayton, OH.
