Tidewater, Inc. provides offshore supply vessels and marine support services to the offshore energy industry through offshore marine services. The company operates its business through four operating segments: Americas, Asia and Pacific, Middle East and North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa and Europe which serves to oil and gas exploration markets. It provides services for all the phases of offshore exploration, field production and development, including towing of and anchor handling for mobile offshore drilling units; transporting supplies and personnel necessary to sustain drilling, work over and production activities; offshore construction and seismic support; and a variety of specialized services such as pipe and cable laying. It also operates two shipyards, which construct, modify and repair vessels. Tidewater was founded in 1956 and is headquartered in New Orleans, LA.
