Torm A/S in engaged in the management and operation of tankers and bulk carriers. It is also engaged in ship-owning. The company operates through the Tanker and Bulk segments. The Tanker segment provides transport service for refined oil products such as gasoline, jet fuel, naphtha, and diesel oil. The Bulk segment offers transportation for dry cargo commodities such as coal, grain, iron ore, bauxite, and fertilizers. The company was founded by Ditlev E. Torm and Christian Schmiegelow in 1889 and is headquartered in Hellerup, Denmark.
