Company Description
Viña Concha y Toro SA produces and exports wine. The company owns and operates vineyards that grow grapes for use in the company's wine making operations, vilification plants (which convert grapes into wine), and bottling plants. It operates through two business segments: Wines and Others. The Wines segment engages in the production, distribution and merchandising of wines under all its brands, which include the agricultural operations, enology and packing operations which are transversal to all products and markets in Chile, Argentina and the United States. The Others segment comprises of group of other products which do not qualify with 10% of sales, assets or operating result as the liquor distribution and premium beers in Chile, wine bar, tours in Pirque and sale of fruit, among others. Viña Concha y Toro was founded by Melchor de Santiago Concha y Toro and Ramón Subercaseaux Mercado in 1883 and is headquartered in Santiago, Chile.
