The segment's products include, fixed satellite networks, mobile broadband satellite communication systems, antenna systems and satellite networking development. The Government Systems segment develops and produces network-centric IP-based government communications systems, products, services and solutions, designed to enable the collection and dissemination of secure real-time digital information between command centers, communications nodes and air defense systems. Its products and services include government satellite communication systems, information assurance and tactical data links. ViaSat was founded by Mark D. Dankberg, Steven R. Hart and Mark J. Miller in May 1986 and is headquartered in Carlsbad, CA.
