Investment Objective The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes) in the stocks of mid-capitalization companies. The fund's portfolio managers consider mid-capitalization companies to be those companies that, at the time of initial purchase, have market capitalizations that fall within the range of companies included in the Russell Midcap  Index during the most recent 12-month period.
