Thank you

Our readers' questions and opinions are important to us and we appreciate you taking the time to write.

Your question or comment has been forwarded to the appropriate department. If we are able to assist you with a specific question, you should receive a response within a couple of days.

Answers to some of the more common questions are listed below:

Q: The data on a certain page seem old or inaccurate.

A: Please try refreshing the page using the refresh button on your browser. Sometimes old data will appear on your screen if you signed on to the site but haven't been active for a while. In addition, some computers keep old data in their cache memory unless directed to refresh.

Q: I'm having trouble finding a story or information.

A: Please try using our search option in the top right hand corner of our homepage. Remember to search CNNMoney only and not the whole Web by clicking the appropriate box above the search space. Also, you can try searching for a particular story or looking for a certain subject by perusing the appropriate subsection, like "Personal Finance" and "World Business." Because of the volume of stories handled by CNNMoney, many stories can quickly move off the home page. However, they may still be found in the appropriate subsections.

Q: How do I subscribe to or unsubscribe from a CNNMoney newsletter or change my e-mail?

A: From the left-hand side of our homepage, click on the "e-mail newsletters" link. Click the "manage subscription" link at the bottom of the page. This will bring you to our member services page, where you can log into your account and make several changes, including changing your e-mail or canceling your subscription.

Q: How do I manage my e-mail alerts?

A: You can manage your alerts here.

Q: I'm having trouble logging into my portfolio?

A: Please send any questions regarding your portfolio to

Q: Where can I send press releases?

A: You can continue to send press releases to this e-mail address. We will sift through them and send them to the appropriate editor.

Q: Does CNNMoney accept pop-up ads?

A: Yes, CNNMoney accepts a limited amount of pop-up advertising. You should only experience one pop-up or pop-under ad approximately once every 12-hour session. A user session expires when you close your browser window OR after 24 hours.

Q: What if I'm seeing more pop-ups than I should?

A: There are several factors that could contribute to seeing additional pop-up advertising. It's possible that a site you visited prior to is spawning delayed advertisements or "exit ads." Another possibility could be that spyware or adware programs have been installed on your computer -- with out your knowledge. Spyware is software that covertly tracks a consumer's behavior and online activities. The spyware uses the data it collects to target and deliver pop-up advertisements and other promotional messages to that consumer. Adware is a specific form of spyware. When adware is downloaded (again, most often without the consumer's knowledge) the ads it displays are already embedded in the application. There are free and commercial programs available to detect and remove spyware and adware applications. Performing a Web search for "spyware removal" or "adware removal" will point you to these programs.

Again, we strive to make our site as user-friendly as possible and thank you for helping us make it better.
