The contest

More than a decade ago, it was said that a stock bet on Intel, Microsoft, Dell, and Cisco would get you sustained growth each year. They were called "the four horsemen of tech." Now we're asking, "Who are tech's new four horsemen?"

We talked to 30 investment analysts and consultants to get nominations, but we want to know what the readers think.

How to play

We start with 16 contenders, seeded and matched-up by industry analysts and the editors of CNNMoney. Go through each head-to-head matchup and pick which company you think will have a longer, more significant impact on the technology market. Two rounds of voting will take place from December 27-30. At the end of each round, we'll close voting, determine the winners, and launch a new round until the final four are chosen. We'll reveal the four winners on Tuesday, January 3.

How to share

Once you've cast your vote, tweet your picks with the hashtag #4horsemen. Check back regularly to see who is winning and get your friends and co-workers to vote. We'll also be tweeting results from @CNNMoneyTech and doing regular updates on our Tumblr blog.
