SCORE, Visa partnering to offer financial management workshops
|
NEW YORK (CNNfn) - The Service Corps of Retired Executives and credit card issuer Visa U.S.A. have produced two workbooks offering a variety of financial management tools to small businesses.
The free guides are available at any of SCORE's 389 nationwide chapter offices. "How To Secure Financing" and "How To Choose The Best Bank For Your Business," both provide tips, techniques and guidelines on financial planning and cash flow management.
"How To Secure Financing" helps businesses define cost requirement and make cash flow projections, assemble a loan package and explore different options for acquiring capital.
"How to Choose the Best Bank..." assists business owners in choosing the right bank for their needs. The pamphlet also gives tips on establishing open and straightforward communication with bank officials and preparing for critical questions during a bank presentation.
"SCORE counselors are always looking for cutting-edge business materials to provide our clients," said SCORE President Fred Thomas.
"These small business workbooks combine Visa's financial management expertise with our counseling resources, giving small business owners the information and direction to succeed," he said.
