Company says it will feel effects of suit against Intel for another quarter
|
NEW YORK (CNNfn) - Intergraph Corp. said Tuesday it expects second-quarter earnings to be flat with the first quarter because of its lawsuit against Intel Corp.
Intergraph (INGR), which makes computer graphics workstations and software, said revenue recovery has been slower than expected since it sued Intel (INTC).
The company said it expects the revenue recovery to be delayed an additional quarter "based on the current level of cooperation from Intel."
In April, a federal judge issued a preliminary injunction against Intel, saying the chip maker illegally tried to end its relationship with Intergraph after trying to acquire rights to Intergraph patents at no cost.
Intergraph posted a loss of 67 cents a share on $245 million in revenues in the first quarter. Analysts had forecast a net loss of 17 cents a share in the second quarter, according to First Call.
Intergraph (INGR) shares closed unchanged at 8-7/8 in Monday trading.
