Merrill’s rating on CMGI pushes the stock higher after hours
|
NEW YORK (CNNfn) - CMGI Inc. stock rose rapidly in after-hours trading Monday after Merrill Lynch started coverage with an accumulate/buy rating and a target price of $300.
CMGI (CMGI) shares rose 17-13/16 to 240 on MarketXT’s after-hours session, with 950 shares traded.
Juno Online Services Inc. also rose sharply on news that the company would offer complete Web access free with ads.
Shares of Juno (JWEB) jumped 15-1/4 to 44-1/4 on Island ECN as 810,864 shares changed hands, making it the most active stock for the electronic-communication network’s after-hours session.
Employee Solutions Inc. (ESOL) was also active on Island, with the stock rising 51/256 to 227/256.
Compaq Computer Corp. was the most-traded issue on MarketXT. Compaq (CPQ) announced a licensing deal with software developer Be Inc. Monday. Shares rose 5/16 to 25-7/16.
