Name: John, New York
Question: Greenpoint Financial (GPT: Research, Estimates). What do you see in the short term and in the long term for Greenpoint Financial? How do you think it and other smaller financial stocks will perform in the current environment?
Answer: Greenpoint and the other savings and loan stocks are poised to go higher in the current market environment, if indeed we have come to the end of the string of Fed interest rate hikes.
Name: Iyer, India
Question: Aspen Technologies (AZPN: Research, Estimates). What do you think is the prospect for this stock? It has come down from a high of $48.
Answer: Like most tech stocks, Aspen is off of its early March highs, when the valuation was a little stretched, but with a strong product cycle and good earnings outlook, the stock should rebound over the summer.
Name: Joe, Texas
Question: CMGI (CMGI: Research, Estimates). What are the three-month and 12-month prospects for CMGI? Is it a good buying opportunity at $60?
Answer: CMGI represents a good long-term buy at the $60 level. It's a publicly traded holding company for new internet companies and should be rewarding for the patient investor looking out over the next 12-to-24 months.
