Put things in writing before and after staff meetings to improve results

NEW YORK (CNNfn) - One of the best ways to keep things clear between you and your staff and clients is to prepare a brief, written or e-mailed agenda before any meeting.
The second step is to write a short meeting summary immediately after the session.
An agenda not only forces you to clarify the purpose of the meeting, but may reduce the number of people who really need to attend.
A meeting summary, as brief as possible, lets you collect the important issues covered and document the action steps and promises that were made.
If you get into the habit of doing these things you will most likely reduce the number of meetings you call, save time at the meetings and keep projects moving forward smoothly.
