Ford-Bridgestone/Firestone end a nearly 100-year old relationship

NEW YORK (CNNfn) - Ford Motor and Bridgestone/Firestone dissolved a nearly 100-year long relationship Monday, after the tiremaker said it would no longer enter sales agreements with Ford, saying the automaker was unfairly blaming the tiremaker for its own safety problems. Ford insists its data show the problem is with the Firestone tires, not the design of Ford vehicles.
