A Time/CNN poll finds that kids today are more spoiled than ever before

NEW YORK (CNNfn) - Kids today are more spoiled than ever before. According to a Time/CNN poll, 80 percent of people asked think kids are more spoiled than 10 or 15 years ago.

Parents might have a hard time saying "no" to their kids. Experts say today across all economic levels it's even more of a struggle since children are absorbing all sorts of marketing messages. These days, $3 billion is spent annually on advertising directed at kids.
A Time/CNN study also shows a downturn in kids' spending. It appears that this "kid recession" is driven by their parents' need to economize.
