Amid smoke and rubble, financial workers witness the terrorist attack's aftermath

NEW YORK (CNNfn) - The ugliness came upon you suddenly at the corner of Nassau and Liberty streets.
It was the jagged steel skin of what was left of the World Trade Center. Dust and smoke swirled around a pit of rubble that seemed to dwarf two construction cranes.
