NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Enron Corp. Chairman and CEO Kenneth Lay resigned on Wednesday from the company he ran from its 1986 birth, after accounting scandals drove it to the largest bankruptcy in U.S. history and made it an icon of corporate malfeasance.
