NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Melania Knauss, fiancee of real estate mogul Donald Trump, will be wearing a sumptuous gown made by fashion house Christian Dior when she walks down the aisle this weekend.

According to women's fashion magazine Vogue, Knauss chose the gown during Dior's haute couture show in Paris.

The bridal gown, which took 550 hours of labor just to do the embroidery, will appear on the cover of Vogue's February issue. The magazine will also chronicle Knauss' search for the perfect gown over 14 pages inside.

Vogue said it believes that Trump purchased the gown because Dior simply doesn't give away something so expensive. But the magazine didn't disclose the price or a price range.

Last week, the New York Times said Trump has received all kinds of discounts from vendors such as jewelers, photographers, florists and caterers who want to be part of his high-profile nuptials.

For instance, the newspaper said Trump paid only half-price for a 15-carat diamond ring that normally goes for $1.5 million.

Knauss, 34, will wed billionaire Donald Trump, 58, Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, in Palm Beach, Fla. It will be the third marriage for Trump.

His hit reality TV show "The Apprentice" will begin its third season Thursday on NBC.  Top of page
