NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Apple Computer Inc.'s iTunes may be available on cell phones sooner than you might expect, according to the New York Post Thursday.

The Federal Communications Commission posted pictures and the manual for Motorola's iTunes-equipped E790 phone on a government Web site, indicating that regulators have approved the new iTunes-capable phone for use on U.S. mobile networks, the paper said.

According to the report, Apple and Motorola officials confirmed the phone would roll out in the near future, but declined to say how revenue from phone-based sales of iTunes songs would be split among Apple (Research), Motorola (Research) and cellular service providers.

The i-Phone, as it is referred to, will have a VGA-quality camera, stereo speakers, and will be able to hold a gigabyte of songs or more on removable "mini-SD" flash storage cards, the paper said.
