Set in the heart of Hong Kong's commercial and retail district, the Upper House was envisioned as an urban oasis by renowned local designer Andre Fu. The hotel's stone portico was created by British designer Thomas Heatherwick, while the public spaces feature a mix of limestone and bleached oak.
In the bedrooms -- on the 38th floor and up -- Fu has used natural timbers, shoji glass, lacquered paper panels and green tea and lilac-colored upholstery.
With dizzying views of Victoria Harbour and a 14-meter long open kitchen, the hotel's Café Gray Deluxe marks the return of chef Gray Kunz to Hong Kong.
