The wagon-shaped Surf -- so-called because it can carry a surfboard -- is expected to go on sale in the summer 2012 joining the Karma sedan.
Both the Karma and the Surf will be electrically driven luxury cars with range-extending gasoline engines, an engineering design similar to that of the Chevrolet Volt.
The new Maserati Kubang SUV is expected to be built in Detroit alongside the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango.
