Football player Travis Daniels (L) invested in his brother's barbershop.

When they were growing up, Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Travis Daniels always vowed to help his brother, Sheppard, open up his own barbershop once he made it big in the NFL.
Travis made good on his promises on May 20 when Kutz Remix opened in Suwanee, Ga., a suburb about 30 minutes north of Atlanta.
Customers can expect more than a standard haircut when they visit the 1,185 square-foot shop. From the 32-inch plasma TV screens in the separate lobby area to the installed DJ booth that spins expletive-free music (keeping it clean for moms and small children is important, said Travis), Kutz is taking styling to a new level.
Some local celebrities have taken notice, namely Falcons players who work out at Atlanta's nearby training facility. You won't see any autographed helmets or jerseys on the walls, though. Instead, VIP guests sign vinyl records -- a tribute to Sheppard's former career as a professional musician.
"We're trying to remix the entire barbering industry," said Travis. "And we want to make sure that every person that visits comes back again."
