Snap a picture, deposit a check. Other bank apps have this feature, but Ken Tumin of DepositAccounts.com calls Chase "the gold standard for remote deposit. "What else? Bill payments and customizable alerts -- an IM, say, when your spouse taps a joint account.
Not a Chase customer? About half of banks offer some kind of mobile banking -- at a minimum, an account snapshot. USAA, Schwab, Citibank, and PNC are among the others with deposits by phone.
