The Cactus Airflow was created under the auspices of a French auto industry program that challenged automakers to create high-mileage vehicles. The Cactus gets 141 miles per gallon or roughly 2-liters per 100 kilometers. It's driven by an "air hybrid" power system that uses compressed air instead of batteries to store energy.
