Denver resident Rich Dewberry dropped his phone off at Best Buy for repair but left it logged in to his Facebook account. A store worker apparently got frisky with it, posting a status update that read: "I am gay, I'm coming out."
Dewberry -- who is straight -- got a flood of calls about his surprise announcement.
Dewberry says he complained at the store and was told that the employee had been fired. Best Buy wouldn't confirm that, giving a Denver TV station this statement in response: "Every employee of Best Buy is asked to review and sign our Code of Ethics, which includes details on how they are expected to handle customer information."
Still, with Best Buy losing customers in droves to the likes of Amazon and Wal-Mart, you'd think their employees would be extra-nice to the shoppers it still has. -- Stacy Cowley
