The manufacturing sector has slowly been recovering, but certainly don't call it a revival.

Once adjusted for inflation, output is still not back to its pre-recession peak. Meanwhile, factory jobs have been slow to come back. The manufacturing sector has added only 647,000 jobs since 2010, about 28% of those cut in the prior two years.
