Earlier this summer, the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps tripled the amount of paid time off new moms can take.

Women can now take 18 weeks of paid leave anytime in the year following the birth. The time off combines six weeks of paid maternity leave with 12 weeks of paid convalescent leave.
