By the Numbers

(FORTUNE Magazine) – Ever feel as though everyone you know wishes he worked somewhere else? Well, it turns out, the majority of us really do. A new survey conducted by the Society of Human Resource Management found that 75% of the nation's employees are looking for a new job. Executives are the most dissatisfied, with 82% on the job hunt. Unsurprisingly, most people (43%) say they want a new job for more money. But dissatisfaction with opportunities at their current job and burnout were pretty high on the list too (35%). The bright side of all these job-hopping hopes? It's actually a sign that the economy is improving, since in bad times employees tend to stay put. -- Cora Daniels
