Susan Becker of Unisys Federal Recognized with Federal Computer Week Federal 100 Award
Unisys executive noted for client satisfaction and for government-industry collaboration to solve pressing technology issues
BLUE BELL, Pa., Feb. 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) announced today that Susan Becker, vice president for civilian administrative and health agencies at Unisys Federal, was recognized as a recipient of the 2016 Federal 100 Award for government and industry leaders who have made significant contributions to federal government IT. The Federal 100 Awards are presented annually by Federal Computer Week to government, industry and academic leaders who have played pivotal roles that affect how the federal government acquires, develops and manages IT. These individuals have gone above and beyond their daily responsibilities and have made a difference in the way technology has transformed government. Beyond Becker's work as a leader of some of Unisys' most innovative work with federal agencies such as the General Services Administration, she was recognized for her leadership of last year's highly successful 2015 ACT-IAC Executive Leadership Conference (ELC). ACT-IAC, an organization dedicated to advancing government and industry partnership through the improved application of IT, holds the ELC annually to bring together government and industry technology professionals to discuss ways to address common challenges. Becker served as the industry vice chair for the highly successful 2015 ELC, which many viewed as the most interactive and collaborative ELC yet, according to participants' comments. She also was elected last year to the ACT-IAC Executive Committee, where she acted as an advocate for the group's Acquisition Community of Interest and a working group assessing ACT-IAC's event strategy for the future. "In addition to her work delivering groundbreaking solutions to Unisys federal government clients, Susan is a tireless promoter of government/industry collaboration through her work at ACT-IAC – work that benefits the entire government IT community," said Venkatapathi "PV" Puvvada, president of Unisys Federal. "We are proud of her contributions and thrilled that she has received this recognition from Federal Computer Week and its impressive panel of judges." Puvvada, a four-time winner of the Federal 100 Award, last year received the prestigious Eagle Award – given each year to one government and one industry recipient selected from the 100 award winners to recognize the best of the best.
