"All in the Family"
This CBS comedy about a bigot named Archie Bunker, his "dingbat" wife, daughter Gloria and "meathead" son-in-law ran from 1971 until 1979. Conventional wisdom holds that the Bunkers spawned more spin-off sitcoms than any TV show in history.
