NEW YORK (CNNfn) - E*Trade Group said Tuesday that Reuters will be the main source of news and market data for its Web sites worldwide.
The online broker and the London-based news and information company didn't disclose financial terms of the agreement, which they called a "multi-year" deal.
Under the agreement, Reuters will provide news about stocks, companies and equity markets as well as summaries of foreign exchange, money and commodity markets for E*Trade sites in the United States, Canada, France and Australia, the companies said.
Additional E*Trade Web sites will receive Reuters news as they come online, they added.
E*Trade surged 11-3/4 to 72-5/8 in a broad market rally Monday while Reuters U.S. shares added ½ to 88-7/8. Back to top
